There should be at least one kilim in every home. Kilims give warmth and liveliness to any place.

The kilim is the flying carpet from 1001 nights, it carries us out of the everyday grey, into the realm of colours, into the world of archaic goddesses, filled with infinite energy. The kilim is the bridge to that place - with it every place becomes a home.
It adds cosiness to a modern loft and fits perfectly into a boho-style apartment. It transforms your bedroom into a sacred temple and wraps your terrace in a breath of the Orient.

An authentic, hand-woven kilim, woven decades ago for personal use or as a dowry or gift, carries a very special energy within it. The weaver's intention is reflected in the patterns and colours she has chosen. The symbols and their special arrangement, the colour combinations and the choice of wool and weaving techniques create a unique work of art through which the weaver tells her personal story. Her dreams, her sensitivities, her good wishes.

Thus the kilim still speaks to us today - in hidden messages, sensitive and mystical at the same time - like a ghasel of Rumi or Hafiz.
Poetry woven by a tender hand.

I invite you to dive into the colourful world of Anatolia.
Find your favourite kilim - among all the carefully selected and lovingly restored carpets of my collection.

If you can't find it here or the kilim of your choice is already sold, please feel free to send me an email. In my Kelim Temple I have an even bigger selection. In our weaving workshop in Turkey I can also have individual kilims and carpets woven according to your wishes.
