Many times a year I am traveling through Turkey to connect with my roots, to research on traditional Anatolian textiles and to understand their ancient symbols.
During my travels I am collecting old kilim rug, ceramics, wild mountain tea and anything unique and beautiful that comes my way.
Welcome to my Kilim Temple in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. While enjoying a glass of Turkish mountain tea, I will gladly guide you through my collection and assist you in finding your favorite carpet.

Kilim weaving is the heritage of a nomad tradition that dates back thousands of years. The symbols and patterns of the kilims never changed since, because the nomadic tribes where not influenced by politics or art.
Old kilims are like woven poems. Every piece is unique and was made by nomad and village women many decades ago. You can read about her longings for love or family unity or her good wishes for the tribe along the patterns and symbols on her masterpiece.
