TÜMATA & Wild Heart Free Soul invite you to the

Seminar with workshops & whirling dance of the dervishes

from 22.06. to 24.06.2018

The tradition of Sufi mysticism is strongly interwoven with the nomadic peoples of Central Asia. Their messages have been uniquely fused with the knowledge of those peoples for centuries.

For over four thousand years, a lively cultural and scientific exchange has been taking place between the advanced civilizations of Asia and Europe, whose geographical bridges are Turkey and Spain.
Some people miss the naturalness in their own lives that the songs of the musicians and the patterns of masterfully woven kilims tell of.
Today, many people learn about the lively culture of "the Asian nomads" via the Internet, which is characterized by its stable connection to nature.

However, there are also real places of gathering where people from all continents are in regular e.g. weekly exchange. In these places, dance, music and song are used to express the love of unity.

In 1971, the Sufi Dr. Oruc Güvenc founded the research group TÜMATA. It researched the music of the Turkish Baksi (shamans). Today, music therapy according to Dr. Güvenc is widely used in the West to alleviate psychological and physical ailments. This shows that even in modern times we can find elements in all cultures of the world that support our fellow human beings. Exploring the tradition of nomadic weaving is another enriching element that is becoming more and more accessible to the West. While the sounds of traditional instruments acoustically transmit a form of well-being, the color compositions, the healing power of the symbols and the texture of the kilims convey visual and sensory harmony.

In the upcoming seminar, the master of the Sufi tradition Yasar Güvenc introduces the tradition of Turkish mysticism, whose roots lie in the artistry of the nomadic primitive peoples. He explains modern ways to self-knowledge. This path to self-knowledge leads to the understanding of one's roots, which are found in nature and even further, which are found in the Oneness of Being (Wahdat al Wujud), which Sufi masters of all paths know to tell about.

If we manage to find a bridge between West and East, we can bring the collected treasures to our homeland and offer them as gifts to our fellow human beings.
