The founder

Beyza Nur Özler

"I believe that a home can be more than just a beautiful place.
It can be an expression of who we are – full of memories, atmosphere, and things that touch us deeply.
High-quality, handcrafted textiles have always fascinated me. Especially what they embody: history, origin, human traces. The tranquility of materials allowed to age. The beauty of things that don't have to be perfect to be valuable.

When I began traveling through Anatolia and encountering old kilims, I immediately felt that these pieces preserved something that has become rare in our modern world. Something authentic. Something grounding. And also something spiritual.

The kilims in my collection were not woven for trends or design markets.
They were part of life – woven by women, used over generations, full of symbolism, memory, and everyday life. Wild Heart Free Soul emerged from the desire to carry on this special form of beauty and to fill spaces with things that embody something.

Perhaps that is true luxury today: to live with things that have a soul."

Beyza Nur Özler

Between Anatolia and Berlin

Growing up between two cultures

Beyza Nur Özler grew up in Southern Germany, the daughter of a Turkish family. Even as a child, she was surrounded by fabrics, colors, and textures – influenced by her parents' fashion boutiques and a life between two cultures.

Later, she studied textile management and worked for many years in the fashion industry. But the faster and more ephemeral the industry became, the stronger her longing for something with lasting value grew. For materials with history. For craftsmanship that embodies time.

Encountering Anatolia

A Return to Our Roots

During her first pregnancy, she began to delve deeper into the history and culture of Anatolia through her studies of Turkology. Shortly thereafter, a trip to the Lycian coast to Kaş – originally planned for just a few weeks – led to a completely new life.
There, she encountered the old hand-woven kilims of Anatolia for the first time.
In the colors, symbols, and woven structures, she rediscovered something familiar: a textile language passed down through centuries by women — silent, intuitive, and full of meaning. From this encounter, Wild Heart Free Soul was eventually born.

Our philosophy

Culture, Craft, and Material

Wild Heart Free Soul sees itself not just as a showroom or an online shop, but as a curated space for textile culture.

The collection consists of hand-picked vintage and antique kilims, cushions, and old textiles that have been used, preserved, and passed down over many decades. It is precisely this lived history that defines their character.

Authentic kilims are made from natural materials such as hand-spun sheep's wool and vegetable dyes. They do not age like industrial products – they develop depth, patina, and presence over the years.

We believe in pieces that are meant to last.
In materials with character.
And in more mindful living.

The Art of Preserving the Existing

Sustainability through Appreciation

Many of the textiles in our collection have existed for decades. Through careful cleaning and restoration, they are given a new lease on life - in new spaces and new stories.
Beyza also doesn't leave damaged kilims behind. Some are restored, others are transformed into pillows or find a new life as textile elements in armchairs, vintage cars, and special interior projects.

For Wild Heart Free Soul, sustainability primarily means one thing:
Appreciation for what already exists.

Craftsmanship that lives on

Between Tradition and Preservation

Wild Heart Free Soul works closely with weavers, workshops, and merchants in Anatolia to showcase and preserve traditional textile craftsmanship.

Many of the old techniques, patterns, and symbolisms are increasingly disappearing from everyday life. This makes it even more important to respectfully pass on this knowledge - as part of a living cultural history.

For us, therein lies a special beauty: craftsmanship that endures through time.

Our vision

A Home with Soul

We believe that the things we live with influence how we feel about life.

A hand-woven kilim doesn't just visually transform a room. It brings tranquility, materiality, and a certain grounding. Perhaps because you can feel that something was created by hand here - slowly, thread by thread.

Wild Heart Free Soul stands for spaces with character. For pieces that are meant to stay. And for the beauty of things that carry a story within them.
