Warum in allem ein Segen liegt

Why there's a blessing in everything

Her şeyde bir hayır vardır – There is good in everything. This Turkish proverb expresses the belief that even difficult or painful situations can ultimately lead to something good. It has deeply comforted me in many phases of my life and shown me that every challenge holds the possibility for growth and change.

As I write these lines, I am sitting on a bench by the kitchen window of a beautiful, historic farmhouse in Somerset, where we are spending Christmas this year. This house, built in 1617 with its old wooden beams and cozy rooms, has a special atmosphere that perfectly suits this contemplative time.

As always, I have brought some of our favorite kilims and cushions – they bring warmth and create a sense of home, even when away. Our stay here is not only an opportunity to enjoy the holidays with my family but also a moment of reflection on the past year.

A Year of Doubts and Burdens

2024 was a year full of ups and downs. It began with significant challenges that made me wonder if Wild Heart Free Soul even had a future.

Many acquaintances of mine, who had run their own businesses for years, had to close their doors – some after decades of dedication and hard work. This deeply moved me and made me question myself:
Was Wild Heart Free Soul really a viable business – or just an expensive hobby?

These thoughts led me into a phase full of doubt and discouragement. Instead of seeing the successes of the last ten years, I focused only on what wasn't working. The kilims, which I once saw as an expression of beauty and soul, suddenly felt like a burden. The thought of giving everything up was real and tangible.

The Turning Point

What saved me was the support and love of my family and friends. They believed in me when I no longer did. Their encouragement gave me the courage to continue – but with a new attitude.

I began to change my perspective and consciously focus on the positive. Every day I reminded myself of what I had already achieved and allowed myself to be proud of my work.

Within a few months, my reality changed. Wild Heart Free Soul flourished, and despite all difficulties, 2024 became one of the most successful years in my company's history.

Christmas in Somerset: A Place of Peace and Inspiration

Our stay in Somerset reminds me how important it is to take time to find peace and enjoy the beauty around us. Within the ancient walls of this house, I feel how history and nature connect – just like in the kilims I brought with me.

The patterns and colors of the kilims fit in perfectly here, and I am delighted to enrich this special place with their warmth and symbolic power. For me, Christmas is a time of reflection and gratitude – and this year, I have so much to be thankful for.

A Glimpse into Our Christmas in Somerset

Our time here in the historic 1617 farmhouse was not only an opportunity to pause but also a wonderful inspiration. The kilims that accompanied us blend harmoniously into the old rooms and create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

More Than Just Products

Our kilims are more than just products – they are stories, emotions, and the conscious decision to live differently. They are created in harmony with nature, driven by the intention to create something of value. They don't just decorate rooms but touch hearts and bring joy across generations.

This commitment fills me with pride and gives my work deep meaning. It proves that sustainable business is possible – not as a trend, but as an attitude.

A Look into the Future

As I look back on this year, I am full of gratitude – for the challenges that made me stronger, for my family who supported me, and for you, who are part of this journey.

May the symbols in our kilims – love, protection, and abundance – find their place in your life too. May they remind you that even in difficult times, light and hope can grow.

All my love,
Beyza - Founder of Wild Heart Free Soul
