This original vintage kilim was hand-woven in Anatolia in the second half of the 20th century by a nomad or village woman using her own hand-spun sheep's wool.
This woven piece of art is one-of-a-kind and was made for personal use, as a floor rug, tent hanging, or cover for the transpiration bags on the nomads' camels.
The pattern and all symbols on this kilim have special meanings. They are meant to protect, bring luck, and increase love and unity within the family or tribe.
