This vintage kilim from Afyon was hand-woven from 100% sheep's wool between the 1970s and 1980s. Its geometric diamond pattern combines warm, harmonious earth tones. With its rare large format of 374 × 271 cm, it is particularly suitable for spacious sofa areas or a large dining table.

Carefully cleaned, laid out in the sun and aired for three months, blocked into shape, and restored.
This kilim comes from the Afyon region in western Anatolia.
When weaving a kilim, the pattern is created directly within the fabric. Colored weft threads are passed by hand through the tensioned warp threads and beaten down tightly. This forms the geometric areas of color and the flat, pileless structure characteristic of kilims.
Everyday use
Vacuum regularly and carefully using low suction power and without the rotating brush. Avoid the fringes. A suitable rug pad provides grip and protects the fabric. Protect from permanent direct sunlight.
For stains
Blot spilled liquids immediately with a clean, white cotton cloth. Do not rub or soak. Please consult us before any further stain treatment and avoid using stain removers or home remedies.
Cleaning
Thorough cleaning should be carried out by a specialist company experienced in hand-woven kilims. Do not machine wash or steam clean.
