Esme Vintage Kilim – A woven prayer for protection and life
This handwoven vintage kilim comes from the village of Esme in the Uşak province and was crafted in the 1960s . It was designed as a silent companion for prayer, contemplation, and protection. With its central prayer niche (mihrab), it speaks of spiritual alignment and inner strength.

Kilim symbols & their interpretation

At the center is the Hayat Ağacı (Tree of Life) – a symbol of connection, growth, and the bridge between earth and heaven. The Yıldız (stars) bring light and divine support. Pıtrak (burdock) protects against negative influences, Su Yolu (flowing water) symbolizes change and vitality, while the Kuş (bird) represents freedom and spiritual expanse.

Play of colors with meaning

Deep blue , Bright red and warm earth tones combine to create a harmonious, almost meditative composition. The colors appear as if touched by time – with quiet power and poetic depth.

For rooms with soul

With its compact format of 144×87 cm, this kilim is ideal for special corners, meditative spaces, or as a wall piece with a spiritual aura. A quiet work of art that adds atmosphere and meaning.

Gently preserved & full of history

The kilim still features its original, intricately twisted cotton fringes at the head. Like all our pieces, it has been gently cleaned by Wild Heart Free Soul and preserved in its original beauty.
