ISIL Vintage Kilim Pillow 40x40cm
They come from a different time – from hands that knew how to turn wool into stories.
Each of our Kilim pillows is a preserved fragment of a vintage rug, woven from hand-spun sheep's wool and carried through decades of Anatolian history.
Beyza Nur Özler personally selects each fragment – with the eye of an archivist and the love of a collector.
We do not cut intact kilims.
We rescue fragments that would otherwise be lost – rare, precious, full of symbolism.
Gently cleaned, carefully crafted, and finished with a cotton backing and zipper.
The matching filling pillow made from recycled down is available separately.
A warm, quiet accent for sofa, bed, or armchair – earthy, timeless, and rich in heritage.
A small piece of living Anatolian history – carried forward by Wild Heart Free Soul.

The traditional and timeless patterns of Anatolia make each vintage kilim cushion something very special. They are the meaningful symbols of a millennia-old nomadic tradition, intended to bestow love, blessings, and protection upon the home and its inhabitants.
High-quality materials such as hand-spun sheep's wool, goat hair, or cotton ensure a durable, high-quality product.
This cushion cover was lovingly sewn in our Wild Heart Free Soul Atelier in Istanbul from a fragment of a hand-woven vintage kilim. The kilim was carefully cleaned before further processing. Age-related traces and natural irregularities are part of its history and make each piece unique.
The back is made of recycled cotton and features a zipper.
Anatolian kilims are far more than mere textile objects – they are woven memories, personal messages, and an expression of lived culture. For generations, women wove their wishes, hopes, and protective symbols into the fabric – freely, intuitively, and full of symbolic power.
The kilim from which this cushion was made also originated in an Anatolian home – from the wool of their own sheep, hand-spun and dyed in hues that reflect Anatolia's nature. Many of these pieces date from the 1960s and 1970s, a time when tradition and modernity met in a play of colours.
In our studio, these woven treasures are treated with the utmost respect – cleaned with olive soap, sun-dried, and transformed with time and dedication into new companions.
A kilim from Wild Heart Free Soul is not a product. It is a legacy. A woven wish – and perhaps a silent companion for your home of tomorrow.
A Kilim cushion is a long-lasting companion – with careful treatment, it will remain beautiful for many years. Regular gentle vacuuming with a brush attachment or light beating will remove dust and preserve its structure. Please do not use a rotating vacuum cleaner.
Blot fresh stains immediately with a clean, dry cloth. If necessary, a little olive soap can be used with a slightly damp cloth – without rubbing, without soaking. This keeps the wool elastic and vibrant.
For a thorough cleaning, we recommend professional hand washing every few years. We work with experienced oriental rug specialists and are happy to share our recommendations with you.
