Width, rhythm and female symbolism
This handwoven vintage kilim comes from the Uşak region of Western Anatolia—a region known for its fine carpets for centuries. Crafted in the 1960s , this piece speaks of inner order, creative power, and the beauty of balance.

At its center are large, rhythmically arranged diamonds—powerful carriers of protection and clarity. Framed by a pulsating zigzag pattern, the kilim evokes movement, permeability, and the constant flow of life.

Kilim symbols and their interpretation

The details reveal a rich symbolic language:

  • Küpe (earring): symbol of love, femininity and harmonious relationships
  • Yıldız (Star): Lucky charm, orientation and light in dark times
  • Göz (Eye): Protective symbol against negative influences – clarity and perception
  • Elibelinde: Symbol of female creative power – upright, strong, giving
  • Tarak (comb): expression of creativity and inner order
  • Su Yolu (watercourse): symbol of change, vitality and the bigger picture

These motifs merge into a carpet like a prayer – powerful, loving, wise.

Colors full of luminosity

The color composition appears as if painted from nature: sage green, indigo blue, lavender, terracotta, apricot , and delicate vanilla white blend together to create a soft, harmonious mosaic. Particularly striking are the gentle abrash gradients , which lend the kilim a vibrant depth and tranquil dynamism.

For rooms with space & connection

With its generous length, this kilim is ideal for hallways, open-plan living areas, or along a long table. It connects spaces—visually and atmospherically—and brings warmth, texture, and symbolism to your home.

Gently restored & sun-clean

Like all our pieces, this kilim has been carefully restored and cleaned with olive soap and sunlight . Its history remains tangible—and opens up new spaces.

A kilim from Wild Heart Free Soul is like a prayer under your feet.
It carries the essential within itself – the gentle, the constant, and the memory of beauty, origins and the return to yourself.
